What is Tau?

Tau is my name for every hacker's ultimate dream project: to redefine everything and create the perfect language, the perfect user interface, the perfect computer. But it has a non-technical side, and eventually merges with everything else. (Tau is tao?)

I will try to dig up some of the paltry and pathetic stuff I've written on this subject over the years.
