DarkGlass is a simple content management system that tries to minimise the effort of publishing on the web while still producing useful and usable web sites, It is intended to be easy to install by users with modest computer skills, and easy for anyone to use. It comes with complete documentation (you’re reading it!).

• comes with instructions for installation on Apache, and should be easy to install with most other web servers
• consists of a handful of Perl modules, plus one short configuration script per web site, and some Python scripts
• generates almost all of its HTML from template files that can be edited using a standard HTML editor, making it easy to change the layout of a site
• is free software that can be freely modified and redistributed by its users
