Gibraltar, June 2008

I was in Gibraltar for less than 24 hours, to sing a concert with the London Jewish Male Choir in St Michael's Cave on the upper rock. The photos are divided into two groups: those of St Michael's Cave on the evening of the 7th June 2008, and those I took on my walk around the town the next morning before leaving.

One of the few grotty houses on the upper rock being rebuilt. Several swanky developments were proceeding apace on the mainland, and one of my neighbours on the flight back to London was a construction contractor who specialised in bringing Mexican labour to anywhere in the world, and had recently been working in Gibraltar.
