St Mary’s, Hitchin

My optician in Hitchin is in the Churchyard, so when visiting on 12th April 2007 I thought I'd look around. The church, despite being in the centre of town, is surrounded by not just the churchyard, but grass and trees, and a river flows past one end (or at least sits outside, in a rather grimy channel).
