# Princeton Junction: Grounds For Sculpture

On 24th June 2005, [Donald] took me to Rat's restaurant in Princeton Junction, NJ. Outside is a sculpture garden called "[Grounds for Sculpture](http://www.groundsforsculpture.org)", which, as the light was failing and the dinner table waiting, we only had half an hour or so to explore.

I should have noted the artists, titles and dates of the pieces.

This smallish tree pagoda with giraffes (about 75cm tall, on a pedestal about half a metre off the ground) was simply the first sculpture at which I rememebered I had my new camera with me. It was not altogether pleasing, especially the roots of the trees snaking over the steps. How do the trees stay upright? I wondered. It all looked rather [Morph](http://www.toonhound.com/morph.htm)-like.

Donald took this picture of me waiting in line for food in this copy of the FDR memorial in Washington.
